Monarch is an energetic rock band from Bloomington, Illinois. At just 18 and 19 years old, lead singer Blain Martin, drummer Mark Riesenberg and bass Sam McCullers deliver a genre-blending sound that combines alternative rock, nu-metal, punk, and grunge. Inspired by bands like Korn, 311, and Deftones, they've built an impressive collection of songs and engaging performances that surpass their years.

The trio emerged on the local scene in 2019, with angsty lyrics and head-bang-worthy scores. By the time they were juniors in high school, they'd recorded a demo and could be seen performing at local venues. Their last years of high school were filled with rehearsals and recording in the studio.

Monarch's debut album “Fever Dream” released in June of 2023. Explosive and exciting, you'll hear loud and aggressive sounds as well as uniquely Monarch arrangements that blend multiple genres.

Their new single “Nicotine” dropped in January 2025, with additional singles and a new album out this year.
